The Challenge
TesTex NDT Ltd, established more than 25 years ago, needed a dependable system to manage asset integrity reporting across its engineering teams. Their previous processes made it harder to maintain consistency, control sign-off and provide clients with secure access to final reports. They required a single platform where engineers could create, review and approve documents, export them for printing and store them safely for long-term reference.
Security was a key concern. Only qualified staff needed permission to sign off reports, ensuring accountability and maintaining a clear audit trail. TesTex also wanted a system that would not only support daily operations but also provide clients and prospects with confidence in the quality of their processes. With growth plans in view, they needed a solution delivered quickly so it could begin adding value and supporting return on investment as early as possible.
The Solution
We created an asset integrity management portal hosted in Microsoft Azure, built with a .Net backend and a React JS front end. This allowed engineers to access the system from any location, upload findings, complete inspections and finalise reports with ease.
Role-based sign-off ensured that only qualified staff could approve documents, strengthening compliance and building trust with clients. The interface was designed to make report creation straightforward while maintaining the structure and accuracy required for technical documentation.
By prioritising the core workflow first, we ensured the system could be used in live environments early on. Additional features were phased in once engineers were already benefiting from the platform, helping TesTex gain momentum quickly.

The portal became integral to TesTex's daily operations, streamlining how reports were produced and stored while supporting a clear and secure audit trail. Its reliability and clarity strengthened their position in the market, giving prospective clients confidence in the accuracy and professionalism of their inspection processes.
This improvement has supported TesTex in securing contracts with some of the world's largest chemical companies and refineries, where robust reporting and strict accountability are essential. The platform has become a powerful part of their sales collateral, demonstrating that their inspection services are backed by a modern and transparent digital workflow.
